CoreWeave and AdaniConneX Collaboration

As the global demand for AI compute resources continues to surge at breakneck speed, specialized cloud infrastructure provider CoreWeave has officially announced its strategic expansion into India. Partnering with AdaniConneX—a joint venture between Adani Enterprises and global data center operator EdgeConneX—CoreWeave will build out a massive 240-megawatt (MW) high-density AI cloud campus located in Navi Mumbai.

Scaling the AI Cloud Frontier in South Asia

Under the landmark agreement, CoreWeave will serve as the sole tenant across three dedicated 80 MW facilities situated at AdaniConneX's flagship Taloja campus. The development also grants CoreWeave the contractual option to double its footprint up to 480 MW as computational needs scale in the coming years. Market estimates from financial reporting indicate the multi-year capital commitment will reach several billion dollars over the lifetime of the project, with the initial operational phase slated to come online by mid-2028.

This initiative represents CoreWeave's second major expansion within the Asia-Pacific region, trailing its recent move to build 360 MW of contracted IT capacity in Indonesia. With enterprise and hyperscale customers aggressively racing to secure scarce energy allocations, CoreWeave had previously noted that much of its existing fleet was substantially booked out, highlighting the strategic importance of locking down massive power capacity early.

Next-Generation Hardware and Liquid Cooling

The upcoming Navi Mumbai facilities will be purpose-built to deploy NVIDIA's next-generation Vera Rubin architecture. Designed specifically for intensive deep learning workloads, multi-modal reasoning models, and autonomous AI agents, the infrastructure will incorporate cutting-edge data center engineering, including direct-to-chip liquid cooling for GPU halls and an eco-conscious non-evaporative chilled-water cooling system.

Beyond server racks, CoreWeave announced plans to open a physical regional office in India and hire engineering personnel on the ground to collaborate directly with enterprises, AI research labs, and India's accelerating national AI mission.
